Man indicted for federal Civil Rights and arson charges for allegedly setting fire to Wiggins Church

WIGGINS, Miss. (WXXV)- A Mississippi man has been indicted for federal Civil Rights and Arson charges.

Stefan Day is accused of setting an LDS Church in Wiggins on Fire in July 2024.

The Federal Civil Rights and arson violations are for vandalizing and setting fire to a house of worship.

If convicted, Day faces a maximum penalty of 20 years for the arson charges and an additional 20 years for the Civil Rights charges.
