Man found safe after being reported missing during severe weather

A man who had been reported missing in an area of the Desoto Forest was found safe this afternoon. He had gone hunting in the area.

Harrison County Sheriff’s Department received a report yesterday about a man who had gone hunting and did not return home.

Luckily, the man survived overnight through the severe storms.

A few agencies assisted in the search, spending most of the day searching the wooded and swamp area off of Highway 15.
