Man found dead on roadway in Gulfport

Harrison County Sheriff’s Deputies are currently searching for a suspect in the killing of a man who was found dead on the side of the road in Gulfport.

Deputies believe the accident happened between two and three in the morning on Orange Grove Road and Azalea Trace.

Deputies found a man lying dead in the roadway. Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer identified the victim as 38-year-old Patrick Howard III of Gulfport. He died of blunt force trauma, Switzer said.

No vehicles were near the scene at the time of the man’s discovery.
