Man found dead in vehicle outside of Gulfport apartment identified

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The Harrison County Coroner has identified the man found dead in a vehicle outside of a Gulfport apartment complex.

According to the coroner, the victim has been identified as 18-year-old Rogieck Cohea.

The coroner says they waiting for the medical report to determine Cohea’s cause of death, but they are looking at it as a homicide.

Earlier in February, Gulfport Police responded to a welfare check at the Stonegate Apartments. Upon arrival, they found Cohea deceased in a vehicle.

This incident is still under investigation. WXXV will have more information as it becomes available.
