Man dies after Monday vehicle pursuit in George County
GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The George County Sheriff’s Office has released new details about a vehicle pursuit involving deputies Monday that ended in a man’s death.
Details are very limited in this case, but the George County Sheriff’s Office identified the man who died as Austin McCraney.
The investigation into this pursuit has now been transferred to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
In a statement, Sheriff Mitchell Mixon says his office will fully cooperate with the investigation and are committed to full transparency in this case.
