Man convicted of felony leaving the scene

A man was convicted of felony leaving the scene of an accident today.

John Cole of Biloxi hit a pedestrian while driving on Highway 609, running from the scene.

The pedestrian, Douglas Couey of Jacksonville, Florida, died at the scene.

Cole was sentenced to the maximum prison term, serving 15 with five years on post-release supervision.
