Man Charged With Robbery

Today, Gulfport police have arrested a man and charged him with robbery.
A little after two this morning, the victim told police they gave an unknown black male a ride to the area of 7th Avenue and 31st Street.
That man not only couldn’t pay the fare, but he took money from the cab and fled on foot.
Police believe that man is 35 year old Recio Hayes of Gulfport.
After receiving a description from the victim, police located Hayes on 6th avenue.
He was arrested without incident and is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a 100-thousand dollar bond.
