Man charged in shooting that began through social media fight

Gulfport Police say a social media fight led to a shooting in West Gulfport.
Police charged 19-year-old Katrell Dywayne Chance Morgan with aggravated assault. He was taken to the Harrison County jail and bond was set at $250,000.
Officers were sent to the 4500 block of South Carolina Avenue about a shooting. The investigation showed that Morgan and the victim had exchanged several messages on social media before Morgan decided to confront the victim.
He pulled a weapon and fired several times before fleeing. The victim was not wounded. Morgan was later found at his home, where detectives also found a stolen firearm equipped with an extended magazine.
