Man arrested on multiple DUI related charges in Gulfport
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- a Gulfport man is behind bars on multiple DUI charges.
Thirty-nine-year-old Kymanni King has been charged with one count of aggravated DUI resulting in Death and one count of DUI causing seriously bodily injury to a child.
On January 26, officers with Gulfport PD responded to a crash on Highway 49 near 34th Street.
Upon arrival, officers found a deceased adult woman inside the vehicle. A small child was also found inside the car, suffering from serious bodily injuries. The child was airlifted to an out of state hospital for treatment.
The investigation revealed that King crossed the media and was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Highway 49 when he hit the vehicle head on. A breath sample from King at the scene came back positive for alcohol.
King was processed and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. He is being held in lieu of a $750,000 bond.
