Man arrested on multiple charges in D’Iberville

On January 04, 2024, Chief Shannon Nobles announced the arrest of Jason Michael Gibson, 38, from D’Iberville, on the Felony charge of Vehicle Burglary and two Misdemeanor charges of Possession of Stolen property and Domestic Violence-Simple Assault.

The D’Iberville Police Department responded to a reported vehicle burglary that occurred at a residence on Bachman Road in D’Iberville.

The victim reported that on December 13, 2023, he discovered his vehicle had been burglarized during the overnight hours.

During the course of the investigation, the case detective was able to identify Jason Gibson as the suspect in the reported burglary.

During the early morning hours of January 02, 2023, officers were able to locate Gibson, who fled and was able to elude arrest. Several hours later, officers went to his residence in an attempt to locate Gibson again.

Officers were able to locate him in the residence, hiding in the attic. He was removed from the attic, taken into custody, and transported to the D’Iberville Police Department for questioning.

After being interviewed by the case detective, Gibson was transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center and booked with a bond of $75,000 set by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain for the burglary, and the two misdemeanors with a bond of $3,500 from D’Iberville Municipal Court.
