Man arrested in relation to homicide in Biloxi

On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, while accompanied by his attorney, 29-year-old Eddie Demetrius Baker surrendered himself to officers at the Biloxi Police Department.

Baker was formally arrested and booked for the active homicide warrant that had been issued by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain.

Baker was transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center where he was held with no bond pending an initial appearance.

On Friday, November 10th, 2023, at approximately 11:21 p.m., several Biloxi Police Officers responded to the 500 Block of Esters Blvd. Biloxi, MS, 39530 in reference to gunshots being heard in the area.

Upon their arrival it was determined that a black male had been found deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. During the course of the Investigation, it was determined that Eddie Baker and Tymos Carter were identified as the alleged suspects.

On December 12, 2023 Tymos Carter was arrested by the Hattiesburg Police Department assisted by the United States Marshals Service at his residence in Hattiesburg, MS.

Tymos Carter was then transported to the Biloxi Police Department and charged with Homicide before being transported Harrison County Jail where he is currently being held with no bond as issued by Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain
