Man arrested after high speed chase
Forty-three year-old Joseph Kamont II of Biloxi is behind bars after a high speed chase last night in the area of Vee Street.
A resident reported that two unknown individuals were on her property running with flashlights. Officers canvassed the area. They found a suspicious vehicle near the complainant’s home.
That vehicle began fleeing at excessive speeds. A pursuit ensued from the area, continuing onto Popp’s Ferry Bridge and ending on Pass Road. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Kamont. He was arrested and issued a $25,000 bond.
