Man arrested for stabbing father to death in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Jackson County Sheriff’s Department made an arrest Thursday involving a stabbing that occurred around noon.

Deputies were called out to the St. Andrews community for a possible home invasion. After investigating the cameras, they followed the suspect to the home across the street.

Upon entry, deputies found Gerald F. Tooker stabbed to death in the living room of the home.

They proceeded to call in the SWAT team as back up to investigate the rest of the home where they found Gerald J. Tooker in the back bedroom of the home.

Gerald J. Tooker resisted arrest, but was captured without any injuries occurring.
