Man arrested for murder in weekend shooting in Picayune

PICAYUNE, Miss. (WXXV)-New details in a murder case out of Picayune over the weekend.

Picayune police say Ivan Mitchell is accused of shooting someone on Rouse Road Saturday afternoon.

Mitchell left the scene and was later caught by police and taken to the Pearl River County Jail.

Police are now investigating the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
