Man Arrested for Discharging Firearm in the Yard of a Home

Gulfport police say there is no cause for alarm. Before 3 p.m., Gulfport police responded to a call of shots fired in the area of 19th Avenue and 19th Street. Police have arrested 25-year-old Ray Anthony Harvey of Gulfport on a misdemeanor for discharging a firearm in the yard of a home. The large police presence was to ensure the safety of the area.
