Man arrested after firing shots in Gulfport

A drug deal gone bad leads to a man shooting a victim in the leg in Gulfport.
Police arrested Pass Christian resident Michael De’Anthony Smith on three counts of aggravated assault. The 23-year-old was selling marijuana to three people around 11 o’clock last Thursday on 65th Avenue in Gulfport.
An argument broke out during the exchange. That is when Smith fired several shots, striking one of the victims in the leg.
Smith is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a $525,000 bond.
