Man arrested, charged with possession of dog fighting paraphernalia in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- A man is in custody after Long Beach police rescued 19 dogs from his home.

Thirty-six-year-old Noah A. Bridges of Long Beach was arrested and charged with one count of possession of dog fighting paraphernalia.

An investigation was launched by Long Beach Animal Control after a reference to many dogs barking at the residence. Upon further investigation, a search warrant was obtained and several items related to dog fighting were recovered and seized.

The Long Beach Police Department and the Humane Society of South Mississippi are in the process of rescuing 19 dogs from the residence. Several of the dogs have scars and open wounds.

Bridges is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
