Man arrested, charged with aggravated assault in Stone County
STONE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)-A man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after a shooting in Stone County.
On March 12th, deputies received a call for service on Hartfield Road on a report of someone suffering from gunshot wounds. Deputies began medical aid services and an investigation.
The victim, identified as 46-year-old Jason Babineaux, was taken to a local hospital by helicopter for treatment.
The suspect was identified as 57-year-old Amenga Hall. He was taken into custody without incident.
The investigation is still ongoing and additional charges may arise.
Hall is being held at the Stone County Regional Correctional Facility with no bond at this time.
