Man arrested for burglary, possession in Harrison County

A Gulfport man is facing multiple charges including one felony for allegedly stealing a car and lighting it on fire in Harrison County.

Long Beach police arrested 29-year-old Jimmy Harsson, charging him with one count of burglary of a dwelling, felony taking of a motor vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance.

Investigators say Harsson burglarized someone’s home and also stole a vehicle. That vehicle was later found in Harrison County and was completely engulfed in flames.

He was taken to the Harrison County Jail on a $100,000 bond, pending further court action.
