Making memories at the Daddy Daughter Valentine’s Dance at Lynn Meadows

Some sweet moments in Gulfport over the weekend during a Daddy Daughter Valentine’s Dance.

Lynn Meadows Discovery Center rolled out the red carpet for fathers and their daughters to dance the day away.

There was a photo booth, a live DJ, and a Valentine-themed snack bar to make the afternoon extra special.

The dance floor was packed with fathers and their children dancing under the disco ball.

The princesses and their fathers decorated Valentine’s Day cards and their polaroid pictures to take home as memorabilia. Lynn Meadows Discovery Center Executive Director Cindy DeFrances said, “When you watch these little girls actually get up in front of everybody and dance together, it really brings tears to my eyes because the dads are really concentrating on their own daughters and they’re just having a good time together. You can just see the joy and fun and the love that’s happening in the room, it’s just a great time.”

The event is such a success that Lynn Meadows is making plans to host the dance on multiple days next year.
