Main gate to Keesler Air Force Base will remain closed through October 21

For those of you who work, train or do business at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, you may need to seek an alternate route to get on base.

Keesler Air Force Base’s main gate at the White Avenue entrance will remain closed for a few more days.

Keesler officials are extending the gate closure to next Monday, October 21st.

The gate was initially scheduled to reopen this past Monday on October 14 after a temporary closure.

Officials say the gate closure at White Avenue has been extended due to issues with construction on and along White Avenue in Biloxi.

The adjusted gate operations for the White Avenue and Meadows Drive gates that began in September will continue as Biloxi installs new water, sewer and storm drains at the intersection of White Avenue and Father Ryan Avenue.

The Pass Road gate will remain open and unaffected
