Magnolia Park Elementary dedicates butterfly garden to Patricia Hodges

Magnolia Park Elementary School in Ocean Springs paid tribute to a great teacher in the community.

Students, teachers, family, and friends dedicated a butterfly garden to the late Mrs. Patricia Hodges. Hodges taught at Magnolia Park Elementary School for over 30 years and her legacy will forever be remembered now thanks to the garden.

Her family is grateful and honored to know she meant so much to the Ocean Springs community. Patricia Hodges’ daughter Colleen Davis said, “Science was one of her favorite topics. So, having something like this, where she can really still continue to teach them through the legacy of the grant that she wrote for the butterflies for the whole kindergarten class, and then now with the garden, and being able to come out and experience this.”
