Mad Potter’s Garden Club looking for volunteers

Spring has sprung and Ohr O’Keefe Museum of Art is in the process of expanding and beautifying its campus and they need volunteers to help make it happen.

Today, a volunteer orientation and party took place to get the volunteers well acquainted with one another.

Mad Potter’s Garden Club is looking for people interested in consistently participating in outdoor beautification, helping maintain the forage garden, the labyrinth, and the community gardens. Volunteer Mark La Salle said, “We are trying to highlight a lot of the plants that our Native Americans would have used way back when they were here on top of this site many hundreds of years ago. We are highlighting those in our forage garden, but also in traditional gardening and we are looking for volunteers to help us with that.”

The Garden Club is looking for people of all ages who can commit to most Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. If you are interested you can stop by on a Wednesday and be prepared to get your hands dirty.
