Lynn Meadows Discovery Center’s annual festival offered fun for kids over the weekend

Lynn Meadows Discovery Center brought out the candy and spooky at their annual Hocus Pocus Halloween Fun Festival.

The festival had a variety of activities for the kids such as face painting, bingo, pumpkin painting, slime giveaways, and games. Each exhibit also gave out candy to children.

The center’s pumpkin patch was used to take pictures and a place to purchase pumpkins to take home.

The Humane Society also showed up to help out in the vet exhibit as a special treat for future veterinarians and animal lovers. Lynn Meadows Executive Director Cindy DeFrances said, “We’ve had more children this year dress as a veterinarian because of our pet vet. They spend so much time here and the pet vet is always a favorite. So, we’ve had several come through saying ‘I’m dressed as a veterinarian, so I can go to the pet vet.’ It’s such a great feeling knowing we are making a difference in the community.”
