Lynn Meadows commemorating Hurricane Katrina 20th anniversary

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The Lynn Meadows Discovery Center will be hosting a special Hurricane Katrina commemoration on Saturday.

This will honor the volunteers, staff, and local businesses that helped rebuild the museum.

Commemoration begins at 9 on Saturday morning with a breakfast and guest speaker.

Former Governor Haley Barbour and Gulfport Mayor Hugh Keating will be in attendance to recognize those who helped.

All breakfast attendees will receive free admission to the museum as well.

From 10 to 5, guests will be able to explore commemorative displays on the museum’s restoration.
