Lyman Senior Center puts on Memorial Day Cookout
The Lyman Senior Center held a Memorial Day Cookout to kick off the Memorial Day Weekend.
Veterans and seniors filled the room dressed in their patriotic colors while singing songs about America.
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department was up early this morning making sure the hamburgers and hotdogs were perfect for the seniors.
Harrison County Supervisor President Rebecca Powers says that seniors are one of the most important groups in the county and it’s a joy to spend time with them. “We sang wonderful patriotic music, and I just love it. It’s just a way to get together and these really… children and seniors are our very most important citizens of all of Harrison County.”
The festivities ended with multiple games of bingo and some patriotic prizes.
