Lyman Senior Center hosts Community Fellowship with Veterans

Showing up in all shades of red, white, and blue, the Lyman Senior Center took time to recognize veterans.

The Community Fellowship with Veterans is an event that takes time to remember and honor all veterans and thank them for their sacrifices.

Supervisor Rebecca Powers led the event that included a program and lunch. The guest speaker was Retired Air Force Colonel John Ladner.

Harrison Central JROTC and color guard students were present to help them recognize the veterans. Retired Air Force Col. Ladner said, “It’s important that we not only recognize them and thank them, but that we stay in touch with them and make sure they get the help they need and just support them because if it weren’t for them, we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the things we do in this country.”

Also in attendance today was NFL Hall of Fame Quarterback Brett Favre.
