Lucedale Public Library postponing the reducing of operating hours

The Lucedale Public Library has announced it’s postponing its decision to reduce operating hours at the branch.

This reversal allows the City of Lucedale time to review and potentially amend its budget to maintain the library’s schedule.

Currently, the library is open Monday through Saturday each week.

The reduced operating hours plan slashed the number of days the library is open to just three days per week.

The Jackson-George Board of Trustees will reevaluate the situation at its September meeting, meaning full-time hours may need to be cut after September 30.
