Lucedale Public Library may change hours

The Lucedale Public Library may soon see its doors open only three days each week.

That’s according to the George County Times.

The director of the Jackson-George Regional Library System Angela Stewart says after budget analysis, it was determined that operational hours are not supported by the financial contributions from the City of Lucedale.

The new times would begin on July 1.

The hours would be 9 AM to 6:30 PM on Tuesday and Thursday, then 9 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays.

Currently, the library is open six days a week.
