LSU’s Myles Brennan bulked up during quarantine

Having won a national title and the Heisman Trophy in the same year, former LSU Quarterback Joe Burrow just had arguably the best college football season in the history of the sport.

Trying to fill those big shoes is St. Stanislaus alum Myles Brennan who reportedly used the COVID quarantine to his advantage, chopping down trees with a chainsaw and using them for his workouts.

Mississippi’s all-time leading passer for both yards and touchdowns at the high school level, Brennan has appeared in 17 games at LSU but has only attempted 70 passes which doesn’t seem to concern Coach O in the slightest. “Offensively, we’re loaded. I think that with Myles Brennan, I want Myles to be the best Myles. That’s all. It would be unfair to compare him to Joe every time he takes a snap. But I told him this, if you’re like Joe I won’t be disappointed. I promise you.”

A four star recruit coming out of high school, Brennan led the Rock-a-Chaws to the state 4A state championship game in 2014 and 2015.
