Lowe’s closing on Easter Sunday to give workers a break
Workers at Lowe’s are getting Easter off.
The home improvement retailer says all stores and distribution centers in the U.S. and Canada will be closed on Easter Sunday, a move that allows essential workers a day off amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Lowe’s CEO says the company wants to give its teams a much-deserved day off to spend Easter Sunday with their families and loved ones and recharge.
Hourly associates will not lose scheduled hours or face a reduction in pay as a result of this closing.
Earlier this month, Trader Joe’s and BJ’s Wholesale Club announced closures on Easter to offer employees a much-needed day off.
