Long Beach takes down Pascagoula in late comeback, 7-5

The Long Beach Bearcats hosted Pascagoula in Region 6A showdown on Friday night.

The Panthers struck first with a one-run first inning and crossed home plate once again in the second, with the Bearcats getting a run back in the bottom of the frame.

Long Beach ultimately rallied from a 4-2 deficit in the bottom of the sixth inning to pick up the 7-5 district win. The Bearcats also went on to win Saturday’s rubber match by a score of 6-2.

Long Beach is now 12-10 overall and 4-3 in district play, while Pascagoula is 8-13 with a 5-4 record in its district.
