Long Beach School District added to Early Learning Collaborative

Long Beach School District will introduce a pre-K early learning program next year, thanks to a grant from the Department of Education.

The $750,000 grant will allow Long Beach to add the Pre-K4 classes starting this fall.

The Early Learning Collaborative Act of 2013 established the Early Learning Collaborative Program, which provided funding to establish, expand, support, and facilitate the implementation of pre-K education and development services.

Long Beach is one of seven sites just added to the 23 existing Early Learning Collaboratives across the state.

The Long Beach School District is currently accepting student applications for the Pre-K4 program. Those are available on the district website. Registration closes May 27th.
