Long Beach Railroad Crossing Improvement project continues

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- In Long Beach, another intersection is closing as part of the railroad crossing project.

The area being affected is Railroad Street and Cleveland Avenue. The intersection closed Monday and will remain closed as work is done.

The railroad crossing improvement project is designed to level crossings in the city, making it easier for big vehicles to cross safely.

City officials are asking drivers to follow posted detour route signs in the area and allow extra time for travel.
