Long Beach mayor recognizes city employees for storm response efforts

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- Long Beach Mayor Tim Pierce is recognizing the city employees who helped during last week’s weather.

Those agencies include the police and fire departments, dispatch, public works, and the parks and recs departments.

Mayor Pierce says their hard work and long hours helped keep residents safe and city operations running during the weather.

As a reminder, now is the time to prepare for weather by reviewing your emergency plans, gathering supplies, and knowing your evacuation route.
