Long Beach man accused of leaving dangerous debris in roadway

A Long Beach man is accused of intentionally leaving roofing nails on a roadway to damage vehicle tires.
Long Beach Police Chief Billy Seal said 60-year-old Jody Barcelona is charged with leaving dangerous substance on a highway. He was taken to the Harrison County jail. Bond is set at $1,000.
The arrest stemmed from an incident that began November 23 when vehicles became disabled. Police said between Nov. 23 and Dec. 19, there were at least 17 instances of roofing nails and tacks left on the road in the area between the intersection of Alexander and Pineville roads and Benton Drive. Roofing nails also were found in the area of Kohler Street.
