Long Beach High briefly evacuated due to smoke inside the school

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- Long Beach High School was briefly evacuated on Tuesday due to smoke coming from a culinary class.

According to school officials, when the vent was turned on, instead of circulating out of the building, it circulated into the building.

The school was briefly evacuated as precaution, but there was no fire.

All staff and students have returned inside the building. No word as to what may have caused the vent to circulate into the building.
