Long Beach Head Coach Ryan Ross retiring from high school football
After nearly three decades of coaching football in the Magnolia State, Long Beach Head Man Ryan Ross is calling it a career.
As first reported by the Gazebo Gazette, Ross deciding to retire comes off a two-year stint with the Bearcats, going 1-18 during that span, following his nine-year run at Ocean Springs in which he posted a mark of 61-45. His overall coaching record is 79-76.
Ross tells News 25 his next move is outside of high school football for the first time in his life, but leaves the door open to one day return to the gridiron.
He’ll continue teaching at LBHS until the end of the school year.
