Long Beach boys soccer receives championship rings

One Long Beach team got to add some more bling to the Maroon and White trophy case.

The Long Beach gymnasium was filled with proud students, faculty, and family members as the boys soccer team officially received their state championship rings.

Every player and coach walked across the stage one by one to receive their personalized rock.

This is quite a common occurrence for this team as they’ve brought home the state championship title three years in a row.

The current senior class hopes to keep that impressive streak alive. Senior Alexander Mink said, “Obviously we’re looking to get another state championship to go back and win. I think it’d be a great accomplishment for all of us, winning the first ever state championship our freshman year to ending it like that our senior year as well.”

Following the ring ceremony, the Coast Trash Football Club made the announcement that they are donating 75 soccer balls to the Long Beach schools which is one for every class, kindergarten through sixth grade.
