Long Beach Bearcats celebrate Homecoming with parade

It’s homecoming week for Long Beach High School and tonight was their Bearcat Homecoming Parade.

At 6 p.m., the Long Beach School District brought school spirit throughout the community. The annual homecoming parade included decorated floats for all the sports team, hot rods chauffeuring the homecoming court, and the marching band was the heartbeat.

Long Beach residents lined Cleveland Avenue and Railroad Street to partake in Bearcat spirit. Long Beach High School Principal Justin Sutton said, “Our maids will be there, a lot of our sports teams will be there. Some of our little Bearcats who are engaged in the community sporting events, they’ll be there. Band, cheerleaders, dance, and all the other great sports organizations that make up our school and our district. Just a great time to celebrate all the great things about our district and town.”

The Long Beach homecoming game is at 7 p.m. Friday night against the East Central Hornets.
