Locals Defend New State Religious Bill
It’s been nearly a week since Governor Phil Bryant signed house Bill 1523 and his decision is still a controversial topic amongst many.
The bill allows for businesses, churches, and others to refuse service to same-sex couples, based on religious beliefs.
Many who are *Against* the bill argue it allows room for discrimination toward the LGBT community.
On the other side, Those who are in favor of the bill say it’s more about “protection” than anything – and that Mississippians should be “Proud” rather than “Ashamed” to call the Magnolia state home.
