Local woman celebrates 100th birthday

A South Mississippi resident celebrated her 100^th birthday over the weekend with her children and grandchildren.

While her birthday is January 12^th, on the 5^th was the celebration of 100 years of life for Helen Elizabeth Goff.

Helen is a lifelong resident of South Mississippi, originally from McLaurin and currently lives in Ocean Springs. She is joined by her granddaughter Shelly and daughter Cheryl.

Ms. Helen enjoyed an almond raspberry cake hand crafted by her granddaughter Shelly.
