Local softball players got to throw on their jerseys one more time this season for the Gulf Coast Classic
Softball season may have come to an end last month, but Tuesday evening more than 50 coast student athletes hit the diamond one last time as a part of the Gulf Coast Classic.
There were two all-star games being played at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on Tuesday as a part of the 2024 Gulf Coast Classic.
The early game featured the All-Stars representing the future of the Gulf Coast, with the later game being full of student athlete seniors taking the field one last time with the best the Mississippi Gulf Coast has to offer. When taking a look at the rosters for both games there were a combined 57 players representing the coast in these all-star games.
Unfortunately, only the futures game was played because of the weather that came through Perkinston last night, but after all is it a huge honor just to be on this prestigious roster, rain or shine!
Congratulations to all who were selected to participate in the Gulf Coast Classic.
We look forward to covering those who played in the future game next season, and we wish the best of luck to the seniors in the next steps of their academic and athletic careers!
