Local restaurants celebrate Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
Men and women in our local police agencies got a treat Sunday as part of Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
Places like Shaggy’s Restaurant and the Rack House offered free items to those carrying a badge, including those off-duty.
Visitors at Shaggy’s got a free beer and a free appetizer at any of its five locations. The Rack House is offering a free lunch to any police officer with either a uniform or credentials through January 12th. Shaggy’s Restaurants Marketing Director Collin Caranna said, “They selflessly serve our community day in and day out without asking for appreciation, so this day is designed to honor them and that’s exactly what we’ll do, along with other restaurants in the area. We want to honor these men and women.”
Caranna also says “we serve them because they serve us.”
