Local ministry donating care packages to Kenya

A local runner from the Fatherless and Widows Ministry in Long Beach has created a running group in Kenya.

Charles Wambolt, an avid runner, landed in Kenya today to start his Fatherless Running Ministry. Over 70 youth in Kenya signed up to train and participate in the camp.

While in Kenya, he asked for care packages to be delivered. The God’s Will Thrift Store, which is a part of the ministry, filled care packages with candy, sanitation items, hygiene products, coloring books, and stuffed animals to send to Kenya. Volunteer Deb Cummings said, “When the Lord puts his finger on you and says this is what he wants you to do. You just answer and you just go forth and he supplies so it’s important to all of us. It’s in our hearts to that and we want to expand. We want to continue what we are doing here and when Charles received the invitation to Eldoret, it just had the Lord’s hand written all over it.”

Charles Wambolt will be in Kenya for three weeks. Donations can be dropped off at God’s Will Thrift Store.
