Local Library Hosts Shadowz Paranormal

Are you prepared for the spookiest time of the year? Halloween is getting closer and Shadowz Paranormal Investigation Team is telling the public what they need to know about ghost and ghouls at the Orange Grove Public Library.
Do you believe in ghosts? It’s a debate that’s older than the history books. Now, right here on the Gulf Coast, Shadowz Paranormal Investigation is trying to find the answer using science. Paranormal Investigator George Kohler said, “A lot of people are unaware that we have a paranormal group here on the Coast. Shadowz Paranormal has been around since 2002. We’re the only TAPS, or ghost hunter type certified team, in the state of Mississippi and we actually cover Baton Rouge to Pensacola all the way to Memphis and this is all self-funded. What we try to do is let people know that we’re here and if they need our help all they have to do is call us.”
Being a paranormal investigator is no small job. A large amount of equipment is needed to ensure any trace of a manifestation can be captured.
Is it possible to prove whether or not ghosts exist using science and equipment? Can they debunk stories like floating objects or paintings following you with their eyes? Truly the purpose of paranormal investigation isn’t always to prove a spirit is present. In most cases, investigators aim to dismiss otherworldly claims. “Ninety percent of the time, we can debunk things as squirrels or bats in the attic or pipes rattling. Then there’s those times when we get recordings, voice recordings and some shadows on camera,” said Paranormal Investigator Connie Rainey.
Despite their best efforts, sometimes the Shadowz Paranormal team just can’t explain certain occurrences. Any such activity is considered to be outside of the normal realm, the sort of stuff we also hear about around this time of year. “People in general, their feelings are probably ‘oh, it’s more haunted during Halloween time.’ Something because of the spirit of the holiday,” said Kohler.
