Local Hope Squad groups recognized by state lawmakers

More than a dozen school groups in Jackson County are being recognized by state lawmakers for their important mission.

Hope Squad students and members of the Singing River Health Foundation joined Senator Jeremy England and Representative Kevin Felsher at the state capitol this week.

Both the State Senate and the House presented resolutions recognizing the 14 Hope Squads in Jackson County, student groups that focus on suicide prevention support in schools across the country.
