Local Eagle Scout furnishing Family Justice Center

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- One Eagle Scout on the Gulf Coast is giving back to the community with his project.

Cooper Cross is teaming up with the Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence to help furnish the Family Justice Center’s lobby and create a relaxing environment.

Plans are in place to change the surface of doors and the front desk, also adding furniture to the main lobby and children’s area that creates an environment that is linked to a faster recovery time. “Today I was here to talk about my Eagle project with the rotary club and the Mississippi Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence. In partnership with them, I am furnishing and decorating the lobby of the Family Justice Center. I am putting a beautiful mural with a local artist and furnishing it out with my local scouts.”

The goal of the redesign is to use the current aesthetics while creating a calming environment for clients.
