Local businessman Dub Herring dies at 91

PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Local businessman Dub Herring died Wednesday at age of 91.

Herring was well-known as the owner of Paw Paw’s Camper and Cars in Picayune, as well as the Herring Ford Dealership.

In a tribute posted to social media today, Herring Ford employees posted that he passed away peacefully, saying “That was a good life, Paw Paw.”

Commercials for Paw Paw’s have been played over the years on local TV and radio and are well remembered and well loved.

Herring was also a supporter of Pearl River Community College. The school’s baseball field was named Dub Herring Park in his honor in 2019.
