Local businesses and organizations present 8th annual Back to School Fair

More than 45 local health organizations and businesses came together at the Lyman Community Center Saturday for the 8th annual Back to School Fair.

People who attended were able to get wellness information, enter in giveaways, and take advantage of free hearing and vision screenings.

After visiting each booth, guests were given a drawstring backpack filled with information from local businesses.

The fair also provided entertainment for the kids with a variety of dance teams and fun activities. Gulfport resident Joann Stribling said, “I like the fact that you have a lot of literature that they pass out that you can learn and benefit from. It’s amazing that a lot of the stuff they hand out, I did not even know about until I came here. I’m raising my grandson, my five-year-old grandson and just knowing the things that they offer for his age group, let me know there is help out there for me.”
